The Yellowstone National Park area, Custer National Forest, and the Woodbine area on the Stillwater River have always been a favorite place for Jim Owens. Being able to try to capture the beauty of the area and the animals that live there with his camera has always been a fascinating past time. The areas in the Southeastern part of the country also provide a fantastic variety of photo opportunities. From the Blue Ridge Mountains to Key West there is always something breathtakingly beautiful to see and try to capture.
Jim's work has been exhibited at the Downtown Gallery and the Boothe Western Art Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliated Museum, both in Cartersville, Georgia. He has also been had work shown in juried shows for the Southeastern Arts Association Guild in Blue Ridge Georgia.
Jim and his wife, Leslie McCrary Owens who is also a photographer, spend their time between their Cartersville, Georgia, home and their home in Absarokee, Montana, where they spoil their demanding cat, Miss Ruby. They are always looking for the next adventure.
